A Win-Win

“Farming’s been really tough the last couple of years and this barn will allow my family to continue farming,” said Trent Hatlen, a corn and soybean farmer from Rembrandt, Iowa. “I want my daughter to go to college and experience life, but also to have a future in farming if she chooses so. This barn will allow that.”Thursday, October 25, was a big day for Trent, his daughter, Adrian, and mother, Linda. For more than 100 years, the Hatlen's have been farming corn and soybeans in Buena Vista County and yesterday, the family cut ribbon on their new, 4,900 head finisher—Adrian’s Finisher Farm.

“This is really a lifesaver for me,” said Trent. “It allows me to keep farming, raise my daughter and raise hogs. I couldn’t ask for a better situation.”
