Congratulations to Alondra on her Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leaders Scholarship!

Alondra is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Spanish from Buena Vista University. She hopes to become a counselor in an academic setting so that she can help immigrants get a better chance at higher education. “Being bilingual has allowed me to break the language barrier between people and assist them in whatever they need,” states Alondra.

Alondra’s biggest inspiration has been her parents, Jesus and Maggie. They have taught her the value of a strong work ethic and how that can further you in life. Jesus is the assistant head of farrowing at Sow 31 and Maggie runs the Storm Lake food pantry. They are from Storm Lake, IA.
