“We hope long after we wrap up delivering Little Farmer Toy Boxes to our day cares and day care providers, that these stories we have shared will live on,” said Ali Kraber, a representative of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation. “Our day care providers make it possible for us to feed the world, and that is something we could never say thank you enough.”

We loved hearing Angie’s story. She took on the role of helping her community by opening her home to help parents who needed day care options.

“As more and more of Angie's friends started to have children, she saw an immediate need for accessible day cares in the area,” said Amber, an employee of Iowa Select Farms. “For her, it was an easy decision for her to open her own home to help provide day care to her community.”

The road to Angie’s in-home day care has many farms with horses, cows and other farm animals. The Little Farmer Toy Box is a perfect addition to all the little things the kids see daily, and Angie is so excited to help incorporate them into the learning environment she provides.

“Little kids and their imaginations are my favorite,” said Angie. “They role play any and everything they see and do in their lives. With the Little Farmer Toy Box materials, I can incorporate things they see into learning, imagining and creating. I love any opportunity I have to foster their growth and knowledge. It really is the most rewarding thing to be able to pass down the experience and knowledge of agriculture to my little ones.”
