Brian Celebrates 20 Years of Service with Iowa Select Farms

“I have always appreciated what Jeff and Deb do for the communities we live in,” said Brian Nevenhoven, an employee of 20 years. He also enjoys and appreciates events like the Iowa State Fair, Adventureland and the fun and unique recognition programs the company pulls together for everyone.
As an environmental services technician, Brian says every work day is different. He mows around lagoons, sprays for weeds and hauls endless loads of equipment to and from farms. He oversees the upkeep of pumps, trailers and numerous implements used to care for and maintain our farms.
And when it comes to construction projects and farm remodels, Brian often pitches in to help transport equipment, supplies and parts to the work site.
Not to mention he’s also the lead on the official Iowa Select Farms grilling team, where he’s well known for his delicious pork ribs and sliced pork loin. “It’s fun to be a part of the World Pork Expo and Hansen Open each year.
Before joining Iowa Select Farms, Brian worked for a construction company in Ackley and was a meat trimmer at Farmland Foods. Brian and his wife, Kristine, live on an acreage outside Aplington.
