Employee Spotlight: Cindy Zeigler

“In the past few years with Iowa Select Farms’ growth, the company has really shined during our open houses where we educate people about our new farms,” said Cindy Zeigler, manager of the Osage, Iowa, warehouse. “We’ve opened our doors to educate neighbors and the community on how we are using the newest technologies our industry has to offer for the betterment of our employees, animals and production.”

Since joining the Iowa Select Farms team in 1999, Cindy has seen a lot of changes. In fact, she was at the helm of one of the biggest changes we experienced in 2016 when she helped orchestrate our move from a warehouse in St. Ansgar to a new facility in Osage.

“It was all hands on deck to get into this new warehouse,” recalled Cindy. “From the other warehouse teams to special projects and maintenance guys, everyone helped out. It took me about six weeks to get everything settled and organized, but everyone was patient with the process and it’s been so worth it.”

And speaking of lending a helping hand, Cindy has enjoyed seeing Iowa Select Farm’s support of local communities increase through efforts of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.

“The company is very invested in its employees and the communities where we live and our farms are located,” said Cindy. “We go to great lengths to support local food banks, military families, food insecure children, scholarship programs and so much more. It makes me proud to work for a company that is so committed to helping others.”

After 19 years, Cindy has learned a lot, but at the end of the day her main advice is to simply relax. “Good goals should be challenging and force you to grow,” she said. “We will continue to grow and we will do it together. Since the beginning that’s the one thing that’s never changed. We’ve always got each other’s backs.”
