Employees and Contractors Enjoy Paid Day Off at Iowa State Fair

Thanks to all of our amazing employees, contracted site managers, owner-operators and friends for spending the day with us at the Iowa State Fair. We're so proud to treat our team to a day off to take in everything our great state fair has to offer--entertainment family fun, agriculture and of course--food!

After a fun day, more than 40 Iowa Select Farms employees had a blast staffing the Pork Tent at the Iowa State Fair from 3-9PM on Friday, August 17. 

Operated by the Iowa Pork Producers Association, the pork tent relies on nearly 1,000 producer volunteers from across the state to staff the tent throughout the fair, all in an effort to provide fairgoers with a state fair favorite—chop dinners, BBQ pork sandwiches, pork burgers, bacon cheddar brat burgers, and of course, the world famous pork chop-on-a-stick.

Happy Retirement to Manny Batista

Manny Batista has been a Breeding Specialist with Iowa Select Farms since 2010. Reuben says Manny's attention to detail and expertise contributed significantly to the team.
