“I’ve discovered that when I’m involved in agriculture is when I’m the happiest,” said Abby, one of this year’s Future Ag Leader Scholarship recipients.
Abby is from Beaman, Iowa and her parents, Brian and Jennifer, are contract site managers with Iowa Select Farms. She is currently studying Agriculture Education at Iowa State University. In the future, she hopes to have a career where she can educate and influence others on behalf of the agriculture industry.
In addition to their passion for agriculture, Abby and her family appreciate Iowa Select Farms’ continued dedication to giving back to Homegrown Iowa communities through various programs within the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.
This dedication to service is one that Abby shares. Her involvement in FFA, Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority, Block and Bridle and many other organizations is centered around servant leadership and a commitment to agricultural communities. She has truly dedicated many parts of her life to agriculture and giving back.
