Our next Future Ag Leaders Scholarship recipient, Taylor, is from Iowa Falls and is the daughter of LaRae and Ryan who works as a GDU manager for Iowa Select Farms. Taylor is currently attending Ellsworth Community College and studying athletic training. Her career goal is to become an athletic trainer at a Division I university.

“For as long as I can remember, sports have been a huge part of my life and has led me to wanting to become an athletic trainer. Ultimately, a position at a Division I school is my dream job,” she said.

While Taylor’s future is in sports and athletic training, she will always be thankful for her roots in agriculture.

“I have grown up around agriculture with my family raising and showing sheep and being actively involved in 4-H and FFA,” she said. “Agriculture has taught me responsibility and work ethic. It has taught me that there can be no days off, some days are going to be hard, but it is a job that has to be done to my best ability.”

In addition to her involvement in 4-H and FFA, Taylor has many years of experience in sports, National Honor Society and even pageants. She has earned several awards and most recently represented her community as Miss Hardin County.

Taylor’s varied background and experiences have laid a solid foundation for her to achieve all her dreams. Best of luck at school this year!
