Director Timothy Maxa told us this pantry serves 100 families each year, and with inflation continuing to rise, meat is an expensive resource that many people cannot afford right now.
“The pork loins are greatly appreciated,” he shared with us, and we are so glad there will be many families who will receive this protein in their meals with our donation of 1,296 servings of pork loin today.
We appreciate the volunteers who keep these pantries running in our Homegrown Iowa communities so that we can continue to come back year after year to give back to those in need.
