Cerro Gordo County 4-H made a huge impact on the lives of 24 families in need. This inspiring mission was accomplished with the help of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation’s Ignite the Spirit program that’s offered alongside Operation Christmas Meal to fight food insecurity in Iowa.
These students partnered with Crisis Intervention of Mason City to provide 24 families with meals. 4-H members packaged the meals and Crisis Intervention of Mason City delivered to the families in need.
Cerro Gordo County 4-H is one of almost 50 student-based organizations that applied for the Ignite the Spirit program offered by Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.
