Iowa Select Farms Recognized as Top Workplace by the Des Moines Register

posted on Sunday, October 1, 2017

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our employees for sharing your honest opinion on what it’s like to work for Iowa Select Farms. As farmers, we care for the animals that feed a hungry world. It can be a tough job, a messy job and it’s always an every-single-day job.

For the third year in a row we’re honored to be recognized as Top Workplace by the Des Moines Register, earning high marks for our values and ethics, how we execute, the direction the company is going, and operating responsibly, effectively and efficiently. While we scored very well in all areas of the survey, the response to this question once again scored the highest, and that’s “my job makes me feel like I am part of something meaningful.”

The Top Workplace survey was conducted in April 2017 when 631 Iowa Select Farms employees voluntarily completed the independent, third-party survey, scoring on the overall health of Iowa Select Farms. Employees also left 1,100 comments capturing the honest opinions on how connected the employees are to the goals of the company and to their work, how effectively the teams operate, and how they view their manager.

Results from Iowa Select Farms’ employees were then compared to other Iowa employers within the categories of “small”, “medium”, and “large” employers—referred to as the benchmark. This year Iowa Select Farms landed #13 out of 25 large employers in Iowa, right in the middle of several health care, insurance and education-based workplaces.

Congratulations goes out to all employees, especially to our managers, who are—and will always be—the heartbeat of Iowa Select Farms. Thanks again for your tremendous level of care and dedication to each and every single member of your team.
