Introducing our newest Little Free Pantry in...Lenox!
The Lenox Little Free Pantry is located at the Lenox Iowa Fire Department
across from The Depot and will be stocked and cared for by an Iowa Select Farms employee family.
They’ll keep it stocked with easy-to-prepare snacks for kiddos, personal hygiene products, items for infants, ready-to-eat meals and seasonal items like warm weather clothing, school supplies and much more. The pantry helps supplement the community food pantry at the
Lenox Neighborhood Center and other efforts aimed at helping local families in need of a helping hand.
This is the seventh Little Free Pantry installed in a Homegrown Iowa community across Iowa. Other pantries can be found in Ellsworth, Riceville, Webster City (x2), Rockwell City and Afton. Other little free pantries are soon planned for Aplington, Parkersburg, Clarion and Hampton.
Little Free Pantries are designed to supplement existing hunger relief efforts in the community and serve as an emergency resource for children and families who do not have the ability to buy food or have limited access to food pantries.
Each Little Free Pantry is unique to the community in which it sits and painted by
The Freedom Rock artist, Bubba Sorensen. This pantry design features several community landmarks, all of which make Lenox such a great little community.
We are so excited to welcome the Lenox Little Free Pantry into the community!
