Madi is currently pursuing a degree in family service from the University of Northern Iowa. She would like to attain a job that allows her to have a big impact on her community. She has learned about community through growing up on the family farm outside of Latimer, Iowa. Her parents, Mitch and Deb, are contract growers for Iowa Select Farms.
Madi has grown up helping on the farm and showing livestock at the county fair. She has seen how much Mitch loves his work and has enjoyed bonding with him while she assisted with fall harvest and hog chores. Her parents have always told Madi to find a career that she is passionate about because “if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life”.
Madi has developed her passion for helping others by volunteering for Dance Marathon and serving on two of their committees. These experiences will serve her as a Child Life Specialist.
