Nashua Area Food Pantry

We ended our day at the Nashua Area Food Pantry with longtime friend of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and Iowa Select Farms, Pat Kilry, who has been with the pantry for more than 17 years!

"We open our doors every Friday morning and together with the help of volunteers from one of the churches in town, we feed 75 area families in need," detailed Pat. "We have regular clients that come once a month but we also help families that are going through an emergency or unexpectedly difficult time in their lives. When someone in the community is struggling, we are here to help."

Due to limited space we were only able to donate 36 pork loins to the Nashua Area Food Pantry, but we're confident that Pat and her team are going to make it stretch! "Meat is a hard commodity for us to come by and even harder for these families to buy," explained Pat. "We are going to send this pork to those that need it most."
