Every child deserves the chance to go to attend school each day ready to learn. Unfortunately, for many this isn't the case. With many children in Iowa facing food insecurity, students cannot focus in the classroom while they're hungry. Through the Deb and Jeff Hansen's Power Snack program, 1,300 coupons booklets, worth $8 each, and 200 pork sticks are making their way through the IKM-Manning Community School District right here in Manning, Iowa.
The Power Snack program empowers students with the ability to purchase deli ham and whole wheat bread, at little to no cost, to provide a source of nutritious protein at home.
Continue following along the rest of the day as we continue our Power Snack deliveries in Western Iowa.
