Power Snack 2022 Ends Day 3 at Algona Community School District

Our last stop on day 3 finds us at Algona Community School District in Algona, Iowa!

Here we were greeted by plenty of friendly faces and hearts of gratitude. The secretarial staff mentioned just how much of an impact the Power Snack program makes for students in their district and how thankful they are to be a part of it.

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is honored to fill the hearts and bellies of students throughout our Homegrown Iowa communities by providing coupons for deli ham and whole wheat bread.

1,800 of these coupons were delivered in Algona today, accounting for $14,400 in deli ham and $5,400 in whole wheat bread. Ham is full of nutrients that promotes growth and cognitive learning, and we know these are important factors for children to succeed.

Another great day on the road, and we look forward to rounding out our week tomorrow in some of our southern Iowa schools!
