East Union front doorThe Power Snack program helps supplement food for students who have little to no food at home,” shared Tawnya Jones, Food Service Director at East Union Community School District.

The current reality at the grocery store is that there are many unhealthy options that can fill a cart for the same price as very few healthy options. Because of this, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is honored to deliver Power Snack coupons to East Union Community School District to provide a healthy and nutritious options for students and families who are shopping for food to fill their kitchens.

1,100 coupons were delivered to this district today, and they will supply over 11,000 snacks and meals full of protein and nutrients. The Power Snack coupon booklets also contain plenty of other recipe ideas to utilize the deli ham in ways outside of a ham sandwich. This grants creativity and maximum usage of the deli ham with minimal other ingredients.

We hope these coupons reach many students and families and bring them a full heart and stomach.
