Power Snack Visits AGWSR

"The Power Snacks program provides an additional support for families who are struggling to make ends meet each day. Anything we can do to help ease the burden is worth it to us," said Teresa Keninnger, Elementary Principal at AGWSR Community School District. "When you provide and opportunity like this, we are happy to help get these items into the hands of our families."

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, along with Iowa Select Farms, visited AGWSR Elementary last week to drop off 800 Power Snack coupon booklets, each containing $8 in coupons for deli ham and bread.

With 1-in-8 children in Iowa facing food insecurity, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation stays committed to fighting and ending childhood hunger. The holidays can be a stressful time for families to put food on the table. The Power Snack program provides easy to follow recipes and coupons to give students the power of purchasing nutritious food at the grocery store.

We have one more stop on our Power Snack deliveries for the year.
