“The PowerSnack program provides an extra opportunity to ensure nutrition is added to the diets of our students who face food insecurity,” said Shannon Cline, Principal at Roland-Story Middle School.
Ham is a nutritious protein that supplies students with the energy to properly grow, develop and learn. We are proud to supply a healthy option for students and families in need who are battling high prices at the grocery store. The PowerSnack coupons supply students with $8 for a pound of shaved or sliced ham and $3 for a loaf of whole wheat bread. This combination creates the perfect snack to provide children and adolescents with necessary nutrients.
“The PowerSnack program helps fill the financial gap at a time when prices are so high,” said Diane Braun, Administrative Assistant at Roland-Story Elementary.
Unfortunately, many children are not meeting the daily protein intake requirements, and The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation recognizes that the rising cost of living is not making this any easier. We are honored to bring 800 PowerSnack coupons and 400 pork snack sticks to Roland-Story Middle School and Elementary today to help boost the energy of many students and families.
