Thankful Day Care Provider, Mary Receives a Little Farmer Toy Box

We wrapped up Little Farmer Toy Box deliveries with a final stop at Mary’s home in Alden. It was a perfect way to wrap up a week by spending time with Cassandra and Phil's family and learning about just how special Mary is to theem as a day care provider.
“Mary has watched all four of our children, from infant to toddler, to helping out after school as the kids got older,” said Cassandra, an employee of Iowa Select Farms. “She does so much more than just keep them safe but keeps the kids on a consistent routine. She strives to keep the children active and engaged day in and day out. She keeps their minds and their hands busy. We just really appreciate not just the safe place she is while we work, but the important part of learning and development she helps provide to our kids.”
“I am about to celebrate nearly four decades watching little ones, and I am thankful to have spent my days watching so many kids grow and become successful individuals,” said Mary. “I also love just playing a small part in the family and being a part of some of the big milestones and occasional setbacks. I love my kids, I love my families, and I could not possibly put into words how much I love what I do every day.”
To have someone like Mary is means peace of mind for parents like Phil and Cassandra.
“Mary is so attentive to the children, always keeping them busy and filling the day with a variety of activities,” said Cassandra. “She maintains a daily routine which is so important for kids who are already so active. People like Mary are so important to our communities, and the service they provide allows parents to work and keep our local economy and communities alive. We couldn’t ever do what we do without her.”
